  • 3 tbsp. oil
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1 tsp. garlic powder
  • 2 tsp. smoked paprika
  • 1/2 tsp. ground black pepper
  • 4 6-oz tilapia fillets
  • cooking spray


  1. Make the marinade. Combine the oil, salt, garlic powder, paprika, and black pepper in a bowl. Brush the marinade evenly over the tilapia fillets.
  2. Heat a grill pan to medium-high heat. Grill the fish about 4 minutes per side until it flakes easily with a fork. Tilapia is a delicate fish, which turns rubbery if overcooked.

Lemon Grilled Tilapia


  • 3 cloves garlic
  • 1 tbsp. olive oil
  • 4 tilapia fillets
  • juice of 1 lemon
  • 1/2 tsp. salt

  1. Take a sealable plastic bag and add garlic, olive oil, tilapia, lemon juice, and salt in it and mix well. Put the bag in the refrigerate for about 30 minutes.
  2. Now preheat your Power Smokeless Grill to medium heat and then place the marinated tilapia on the grill pan. Cook it for 4 minutes on each side.

Spicy Grilled Tilapia Fillets

This recipe calls for more seasoning.


  • 2 tbsp. paprika
  • 2 tsp. salt
  • 2 tsp. ground pepper
  • 2 tsp. lemon pepper
  • 2 tsp. garlic powder
  • 2 tsp. crushed basil
  • 4 tbsp. lemon juice
  • 2 tbsp. olive oil
  • 4 tilapia fillets


  1. Preheat your grill to medium-high heat.
  2. Mix all of your ingredients except for the tilapia in a medium-size mixing bowl.
  3. Spoon a small drop of the seasoning mix on each fillet and spread evenly to fully coat the fish. Flip each fillet and repeat to coat both sides.
  4. Oil a paper towel with olive oil and rub it on your grill. This will help to prevent your fish fillets from sticking to the grill and breaking apart when you flip them.
  5. Put your fillets on the grill and flip them once after 4–5 minutes. Try to avoid moving the fillets around as they will become flaky and may break apart.
  6. After you flip the fillets after 4–5 minutes, cook the other side for 4 minutes and your grilled fillets can be taken off the grill.
